Welcome to the Tadley Tub Collection Project, a community initiative with a big ambition: to collect empty plastic sweet tubs – think Celebrations, Heroes, Quality Street – and recycle them into strong, long-lasting benches for everyone in Tadley to enjoy.

Our mission is simple but powerful: turn what would be waste into something wonderful for the whole town. Every year, thousands of plastic tubs are thrown away or incinerated, but together we can give them a second life and create a lasting reminder of what a united community can achieve.

Driven by Martin Bowers of Bowers Broker Services Limited and Barbara Payne of Digital House, with the incredible support of our local community, we’re aiming to collect 6,000 tubs this festive season – and we don’t want to stop there. The more tubs we save, the more benches we can build for Tadley.

Join us by dropping off your tubs, spreading the word, volunteering, or simply following and sharing our updates online. Together, we can make Tadley greener, cleaner, and a little bit stronger - one tub at a time.

Bring your clean, empty sweet tubs to one of our local collection points (locations will be listed here soon). Each tub you donate helps us turn waste into benches and bring Tadley closer to its goal.

In today’s throw-away society, I wanted to do something that gave back to the community - and that’s how it all began.

I’m based in Tadley and run Bowers Broker Services Ltd, an independent brokerage focused on providing tailored insurance solutions. My speciality is Property Insurance, with particular expertise in arranging cover for blocks of flats.

Away from work, I enjoy family life with my wife and our nine-year-old son, and I’m now proudly championing the Tadley Tubs - often found out and about collecting them!

As a long-standing Tadley resident and business owner, I’ve been supporting local initiatives for over 40 years.
