Position: Day Support Workers
Location: Heather House & Fir Tree Lodge Tadley, Hampshire.
Salary: £17,160 – £17,745 p/a £8.80 - £9.10 p/h (dependent upon relevant qualification, skills and experience)
Hours: Various hours available.
Required: Satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure required for the post.
We are looking to recruit Support Workers to work at Heather House , a residential nursing home for 16 younger adults and Fir Tree Lodge a residential care home for 10 young adults all living with visual impairment, complex learning and health needs, and life-limiting conditions.
Working under the guidance of Registered Nurses, Physiotherapist, Activity and Resource Co-ordinator and Senior Support Workers, you will provide ongoing support to individuals including full assistance with basic personal needs, complex nutritional support and palliative support.
On a rotational basis, you will spend time in a dedicated Social and Leisure support role, working with a core group of four individuals over a six week period, taking responsibility for planning and facilitating activities with these individuals.
You should be:
- A good communicator
- Willing to provide personal support in a residential care home to people with complex needs
- IT literate or willing to learn
- Able to work well in a team
- Committed to promoting individual choice, autonomy and a person-centred lifestyle
- No experience is required, although is advantageous
