AWE Redevelopment Programmed Highway Works The Highway works are being split into 5 phases and each phase will include the construction of a new road junction either in the form of a roundabout or traffic signals.
The Phases are
Phase 1 Tadley Gate and Aldermaston Gate Roundabouts together with a Toucan Crossing at the Tadley Gate junction
Phase 2 A340 Aldermaston Hill Roundabout at the Young's Industrial Estate entrance
Phase 3 AWE Main Gate roundabout together with toucan Crossing and cycleway scheme
Phase 4 Falcon Gyratory signalising together with Toucan Crossing
Phase 5 Heath End Road Roundabout adjustment.
Phase 1 is programmed to start week commencing 7th January 2008 with the carriageway being affected from the 21st January 2008 for 15 weeks.
The remaining Phases will then follow one at a time with each one expected to take 16 weeks from start to finish. ( due to possible construction programming there may be more than one phase happening at the same time).
