Tea at 3 - Enjoy a cuppa for charity this June! The campaign plays an important role in the fundraising calendar for St. Michael’s Hospice who care for patients with life-limiting illnesses throughout North Hampshire. Funds raised by Tea at 3 help to ensure that the Hospice can continue to provide vital care and services to the local community, by contributing to the £2 million needed this year to keep St. Michael’s going. To launch this year’s campaign and to thank those who have taken part in Tea at 3 in the past, St. Michael’s Hospice held a Tea at 3 get-together at the end of May at the Hospice where supporters were joined by St. Michael’s staff and volunteers for tea and cakes. Jessica Zubaidi, Fundraising Manager said: “It was wonderful to see so many of our supporters come to the Hospice as a thank you for their fundraising in the past, and to help us to celebrate the start of June’s Tea at 3 month. Tea at 3 is a wonderful way to support St. Michael’s to care for patients across the local area and last year more than £4,000 was raised from tea parties and events. It would be fantastic to see this year’s Tea at 3 campaign prove just as successful, so why not put the kettle on to support St. Michael’s in our 15th anniversary year?” Turning tea into cash for St. Michael’s is fun and easy. Perhaps you could hold your very own tea-themed event or instead take up our 50p for Tea challenge by donating 50p for each cup of tea you drink during the month of June. Keep the coins safe in a tea cup in the kitchen then bring the cash into us at the end of the month! It’s as easy as that. We’d love to know how you aim to join in this year’s Tea at 3 campaign, and can offer you a fundraising pack which contains lots of help and ideas.
