Why is the Tadley post office closed between 1pm and 2pm?

I have just been to the post office and walked straight into a closed door. Strange I thought, another gentlemen walked by and tried the same thing looking puzzled we suddenly realised the time was 1pm.

The manager opened the door to let someone out and we asked can we use the post office and with much delight she announced that it re opened at 2pm.

What is going on in this town, surely between 12 and 2pm are the busiest period of the day with people on their lunch break. But instead the post office decides to close up for lunch. No wonder small post offices are under the threat of closure if this is the type of service they provide and lack of business sense the managers have running these places.

May I suggest someone from the council has a word and keeps this town moving before it’s too late.

One should look before walking straight into closed door.

I use the post office in Baughurst more and more - never have to wait long to be served, easy to park and always seems to be open when I go there!

As far as I can remember, post offices have always closed at lunchtime (all except the very big ones like at the top of town anyway).

Surely those that work in a post office are en_title_d to a lunchbreak as a sensible time too?
